The Dart Board
While cleaning out my room, I unearthed an old dart board I was gifted from my mother years ago; a forgotten relic from years past. I used it on and off again, but ultimately I never took interest in darts. Not until years later I join my mom and her new fella in Friday night games.
I had recently found some nice ash blanks to use for charcuterie boards, and utilized some of it for a backer piece onto which to hang the dart board. Found an affordable bristle board (the only true way to play darts) and attached it to the epoxy pour backer. Using a piece of glass for the score board, I backed it with some white vinyl so as to see the Expo marker better when scoring,
I am so satisfied with this piece, Learned tons while building the board, including the process and the end design; what worked and what didn’t work. It’s pretty likely I will do something like this again.
